Blakk Soul (born Eric Mercer Jr.) is the stage name of an American R&B/Soul Singer out of Tacoma, Washington. He has been guest featured on numerous tracks by other artists and producers, most notably that include Rapper Big Pooh,[1][2] and Astronote[3]

In early 2011, Blakk released Lost in Translation and in 2014 released No Love Lost, both for free download. Both tapes produced primarily by Seattle producer Kuddie Fresh, while No Love Lost contained one song produced by French producer Astronote[4]

In June 2014, Blakk was a part of an international album released by French producer Astronote entitled Astroblacked[5]

In October 2014, Blakk released a single entitled, That Kind of Love featuring Soul Singer Aaron AB Abernathy. This single was distributed through Empire Distribution[6][7] and debuted on Seattle major hit radio station KUBE 93.3 (FM) Sunday Night Sound Session on October, 19th, 2014, put in rotation for several weeks.[8][9]

In February of 2015, Blakk Soul was listed (among other notable artists) by XXL as a feature for associated act, Rapper Big Pooh's upcoming LP Words Paint Pictures produced entirely by Apollo Brown of Mello Music Group.[10]
