Das Beste (engl.: The Best) is the seventh single release by german pop rock group Silbermond and their first number one hit in Germany and Austria. It's the third single release fromt heir second studio album Laut gedacht (thought out loud).

Vocalist Stefanie Kloss explained the meaning of the song and her personal relation: when i sing this song, i think of my father. His death has shown me how a person that's important to you, does not appear anymore. So it's important to enjoy every minute and be happy with the people around you that do care for you. The chorus line also declares to "forget the rest of the world" when someone is around to comfort someone.
