Derek and the Dominos
Derek and the Dominos were a blues-rock supergroup , active in 1970 and 1971. The band was founded by Eric Clapton , Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle and Jim Gordon, Clapton experienced session musicians work with Delaney & Bonnie . Later added guitarist Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band , joined the group. The band has only released one studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs , which is seen by critics as one of the best works of Clapton. With the title track Layla , the band scored a worldwide hit. Before Duane Allman came in October 1971 in a traffic accident killed, the band in May 1971 for some time been in the studio to record. Second album After an argument between Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon in the studio, the band was lifted.
