Etude Op. 25, No. 1 is a musical arrangement for the piano composed by Frederic Chopin. This etude is commonly known as the Aeolian Harp which is coined by Franz Schubert after experimenting with this musical piece.

Style[]

The Aeolian Harp Etude features continuous arpeggios in both the bass and treble clef of the sheet music. The tempo should remain Allegro while the notes must be sustained and flow smoothly at the same time. The notes are primarily in A flat major but shifts constantly from one major and minor to another. Because of the fast speed combined with complex intonation of arpeggios, mastering this piece requires flexible hands. Most arpeggios encompasses at least eight notes apart. For best results, accent only the notes located at the top of each arpeggio to keep the melody consistent with the entire piece.
