Chris Martin is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who was one of the founding members of Coldplay. Chris is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and pianist for the band. Chris is married to Gwyneth Paltrow. He stands at 6’4”

Early Life[]

Chris Martin was born on the 2nd of March, 1977, in Whitestone, Exeter, Devon, England. Chris was the eldest of five siblings. His father was an accountant and his mother a music teacher. Thus, being born into a musical family, Chris picked up the piano and guitar during his school years.

During his time at college, he met Jonny Buckland, the guitarist of Coldplay. They then formed a band. Soon to require Guy Berryman, their new bass player. Following Guy, came Will Champion, who was a multi-instrumentalist. In a need for a drummer, Will quickly adapted and picked up the drums.
