Free were an English blues/rock band formed in London in 1968 has become best known with the number 1 hit "Allright now". Another well known number of Free is "Wishing Well".

All albums be included with the original line-up, but on the album Heartbreaker is bassist Andy Fraser no more of the party. He is then replaced by Tetsu Yamauchi. Also on this album also plays the keyboard playerJohn "Rabbit" Bundrick. Paul Kossoff plays on the album "Heartbreaker" in just five songs guitar. In 1971 the band threw the towel once already in the ring, but finally in 1973 the Group held to exist.

After the break-up of Free Paul Rodgers , a new band called Bad Company,[1where Simon Kirke also.

Guitarist Paul Kossoff, known for his langdoorklinkende solos on guitar in songs like Mr. Big, is on died young. He got at the age of 25 in 1976 a heart attack, caused by drug use.
