Fritz Zweig (Olmütz, now Olomouc (Czech Republic), 1893 - september 8, Los Angeles, 28 February 1984) was a German conductor, pianist and composer.

Fritz Zweig was private pupil at Arnold Schoenberg in Vienna and Berlin. From 1913-1933 he worked as a conductor at various German opera houses, such as at the Volksoper and the Städtische Oper in Berlin.Then he worked at the Kroll opera and from 1932 for the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. He lost his job in Germany In 1933 and fled to France because of the Nazism. From 1934 he worked as a conductor at theGerman Theatre in Prague, but also there he had to flee again in 1938. He settled afterwards in Paris. He conducted there at the Paris Opera and guest Directors did in London and Moscow. After the occupation of France he went into exile in the United States where he successfully continued to conducting. At the end of his life he lived in Hollywood and he taught at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara.
