Hallelujah! I'm A Bum
Hallelujah! I'm A Bum is the seventh studio album by Illonis-based Alternative Rock duo Local H. It was released on September 18, 2012, afew months before the 2012 presidential elections. Because of this, the album has a political theme to it. It is also considered as a double album due scince the vinyl release is divided into two 12" vinyl records. A limited amount of 200 vinyl copies came in color, one in red and the other in blue. The album was released through Slimstyle records.


It was announced during early 2012 that Local H was going to work on a new record. In a guest Apperances with film podcast "CinamaJaw", Scott Lucas mentioned that the working title would be Hallelujah, I'm a Bum. The albums recording process lasted during 2012 and the album was completed by spring. The band decided to wait intill a late summer or early autumn release for the album so it would be closer to the elections.In May, the boys started a US tour were they would play at small venues, during this tour, they premiered many songs such as "Sad History". During July, a video for the track "Night Flight to Paris" was released on the youtube channel "Jmangomedia". A music video for "Cold Manor" went on the internet afew days before the albums release. The album met positive reviews with critics.

Album structureEdit

The album is 17 tracks long and lasts for 60 minutes and 47 seconds. The album would occasionally have sounds of barking dogs or a metro playing in the background. Much like there previouse albums, a short track from the beginning of the album reappears in the end, this time much longer. For this album, the tracks are "Waves" and "Waves Again". The vinyl release of the album had two 12" records, each records representing republicans and democrats. The colored vinyls release had a color for each record, blue and red. This is the first Local H album to be released on vinyl scince 1995's Ham Fisted.
