Review[]
Ohio’s Aloha bring a well polished combination of orchestral pop and post-prog rock to the already proven Polyvinyl roster. Here Comes Everyone is an extremely solid album that derives its sound not only from the previously mentioned but also experimental, jazz and post-rock. They smoothly transition from angular to elegant as the album progresses, backed by brooding soundscapes and the yearning voice of Tony Cavallario (whose voice is perfect for this vibe). It’s hard to believe that this record was created by only 4 people; most songs sound like it took a symphony to produce. They also have achieved what most artists only dream of, being accessible and experimental/progressive at the same time. Their sound is an unlikey combination of Karate, Elton John and Stark Reality.
