ReviewEdit

This is probably the Minus 5 record that's been issued the most different ways. It's also one of my top 3 Minus 5 records, and depending on the day you ask me, often my #1 disc. This is the disc to get if you're more into The Young Fresh Fellows than The Minus 5 -- it sounds a lot like a Young Fresh Fellows album minus a couple Kurt Bloch compositions. ([[{Kurt Bloch]] does play on this one, though, and Sgt. Major has been known to do "Lies Of The Living Dead" live quite frequently.) The frustrating thing is that each version has exclusive tracks, and all of these exclusive tracks are great—so, if you have the one on Book, you NEED the Yep Roc one too, and vice versa (though the Yep Roc LP does have all the In Rock tracks...). (Unfortunately, the Book one is hard to find...) I think I actually like this version of Myrna Loy better, and I wish "The Little Black Egg" had made it on too—especially since the album is so short! Oh well, though—this is definitely a MUST HAVE and probably a good place to start as well. So many awesome songs on this record—it's hard to pick just a few standouts. Maybe "Where The Wires Meet The Skies", "Courage Is The Smallest Bird", "Lies Of The Living Dead" and "Dear My Inspiration", but that leaves off, songs like "Over The Sea" or "In A Lonely Coffin" or.... - Rev.
