Review[]
This is a live album recorded on a night on the Total DEVO tour. And, well, like that album, it's not really great, but it is better than Total. They only do a few cuts from that album and they're some of the better ones. As for the older songs, eh, they're OK, but a bit anemic on the performance side. DEVO's tired, and it really shows. Also, David Kendrick's drumming isn't the best—he fucks up the riff on "Satisfaction". For a good live performance, check out DEV-O Live, DEVO Live 1980 or even from a recent Japan show, Live In The Land Of The Rising Sun. Don't necessarily avoid this one, but, eh, there're way better live documents than this one. It does have its moments, though—the exclusive and superb "It Doesn't Matter To Me", which is surprisingly folky, and "Somewhere With DEVO". - Rev. Syung Myung Me
