"Nutbush City Limits" is a soul song by Ike & Tina Turner that if single was first released in 1973. It is taken from their album Nutbush City Limits. The b-side was Help him.

Introduction[]

It was the last successful single, Ike & Tina Turner. There appeared a few singles but that hardly took the charts. Nutbush City Limits was written by Tina Turner with in her mind her native village NutbushTennessee. Nutbush itself has no municipality-free area as "municipality borders", but inhabitants of the village have some control. Tina Turner honored her home village, vice versa honored her native village her by a part of the Tennessee State Route 19 to her after.

There are strong rumors that Marc Bolan by playing the guitar . He was nowhere mentioned, but it showed similarities with his guitar playing "guitar sound" back then. He would also play along on the later singles by Ike & Tina, who continued their breakup had already appeared then.

Tina Tuner recorded the song in 1973 after the first edition several times. it was then released as a single at times, including the version of 1991. Although during performances the rock-'n-rollversion was played, appeared on the market a variant in disco music. Also those version took out the charts.
