Stanley Harvey Eisen (born January 20, 1952), better known by his stage name Paul Stanley, is an American hard rock guitarist, singer, musician, painter and songwriter best known for being the rhythm guitarist and one of two primary lead vocalists of the rock band Kiss. He is the writer or co-writer of many of the band's highest-charting hits. When Kiss established stage gimmicks for themselves, Stanley became the "Starchild" because of his tendency to be referred to as the "starry-eyed lover" and "hopeless romantic." Aside from Gene Simmons, Stanley has been the only constant member of Kiss since the band's formation in 1973.
