Artist: Neil Innes

Album: Recycled Vinyl Blues

Appears On (Mixes): Wally's Novelty Mix: She Yo-Yos Me and I Yo-Yo Her Back

Song Notes: This is actually one of the songs that made me want to do this compilation for you in the first place (along with The Bonzos' cover of "Alley-Oop", since you put the Dante & The Evergreens' version on yours). It's partially because we were talking about different pressings of vinyl (like how promos and Japanese pressings are better as they're pressed on virgin vinyl, rather than recycled vinyl), and also just because it's a cool song. And in a weird, sideways sort of way, it's kind of like the Buchanan & Goodman/Dickie Goodman records. Or The Twelve Daze Of Christmas, only instead of impressions, it's covers of a few bars of various different songs. That's also one of the Pythons at the top of that song. Anyway, though, I always thought this one was really clever. It's too bad none of Neil Innes' stuff came out in the US. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
