Roberto Ferrante (Naples – Italy, March 28, 1965) is a record producer, arranger, composer, musician, founder of the record label Planet Records Europe. One of the most celebrated producer during the 90s, predominantly in the Dance musicgenre, from 2003 with his Label Planet Records become the first latin music leader as Record Producer in Europe. Roberto Ferrante launched and promoted first in Europe and then worldwide all the most important Latin music genres such as Bachata, Salsa, Reggaeton, Dembow, Cubaton, Merengue Urban.
Roberto Ferrante was born in Naples on 28 March 1965, he started in the early youth the studies as drummer and pianist at the “music conservatory” of Naples. At the late 70s Roberto cuts its time between “left-wing student wave”, his studies at Naples’s artistic lyceum, University of Architecture and his militancy in one of the first underground electronic music group till 1983 when, after a lot of closed doors, he finally finds the one with the will to release his first title (Pineapples “Come On Closer” that will be a great hit in the US and european underground Clubs), therefore he abandons his studies at the faculty of architecture, from that moment the music leads his life.
