Artist: Ted Leo + Pharmacists

Album: The Believer Music Issue June/July 2004

Appears On (Mixes):

Song Notes: As-I-Listen Review: I think I might have seen Ted Leo + Pharmacists open for someone at CMJ. Either that or I was going to, but they didn't. Or no, wait, I think I'm confusing them with the (sucky) dude from My Morning Jacket opening for (the awesome) Ben Kweller. Because this is actually pretty good and not sucky. It's odd, because they're on Lookout and I am assuming that on the Lookout boards it is like what happened when bis put out that EP on the label, mainly all the 14 year old punks going "WHAT IS THIS SHIT THIS IS NOT PUNK RAWK!!1111" and stuff. Because this isn't Punk Rock, but this is pretty good just the same. I believe I am going to have to check out more of their stuff. Because I'm kinda digging this. It's a little Elvis Costello-y with a bit of that Sixties Sort Of Vibe thrown in as well. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
