Teufelskreis are an Austrian heavy rock / metal band formed in 2008 by two members of the Austrian metal band Sunterra. Their musical style compares to bands like Megaherz, Rammstein or Oomph!.

Background[]

The band Sunterra announced to have a break for some time. Friedl Schütz and Chris Schön from Sunterra founded Teufelskreis, along with further musicians. In 2009, they released their first album Spuren der Vergangenheit (traces of the past) in self-distribution. After then, the band was touring all over Austria and had a TV appearance at teh Austrian TV show Mulatschlag.

However, Roman C left the band and was replaced by Mike Nowak in 2011. In 2012, they released their second album Lust Frust. They also could play common concerts with the bands Megaherz and Eisregen.

In 2014, the band was signed to NRT-Records and their two albums were re-released. Mike Nowak left at at year-end 2014, shortly after finishing the music video of Verdammt (damned). Christian Platschek became the new drummer.
