The Unforgettable Fire

The Unforgettable Fire is the fourth studio album by Irish rock band U2, released in October 1984. The Group wanted another musical direction after the somewhat harder rock of their previous album War from 1983. To achieve this goal the band hired Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois as producers and to a more ambient and abstract sound. The resulting style change was the largest so far for the band.

Filming began in May 1984 in Slane Castle where the band members lived for a while, and continued until August 1984 in the Windmill Lane Studios.
