Whenever, Wherever is a 2002 latinpop number, written and produced by Shakira for her first English-language studio album, Laundry Service. The song came from nothing on the number 1 position in the Dutch Top 40 as well as the Dutch Single Top 100, a great achievement. It was her most successful song from her career to Hips Don't Lie from 2006. There is also a Spanish-language version of the song, entitled Suerte, what happiness means.
The song was released as the first single from the album Laundry Service in the spring of 2001. It was an international success, it reached the number 1 position in Colombia, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, nearly all European countries.
